Police in Nong Chok have identified the main suspect in a fatal shooting at a motorcycle repair shop as 31-year-old Theerapat and three to four other teenagers who arrived in a modified orange pickup truck. Witness accounts indicate at least two 9mm handguns and a shotgun were used in the attack that killed 32-year-old Singto on September 18. A sedan accompanied the pickup truck but no one is reported to have exited from it.
Investigators believe the shooting was triggered by an online dispute and challenges exchanged between Singto and Theerapat on Facebook. The victim, who reportedly cultivated and sold cannabis, had been involved in previous arguments and confrontations with the suspects. Police are investigating angles related to a love triangle and drug involvement as potential motives. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Bureau's Homicide Division and the Nong Chok Police Station are pursuing arrest warrants, initially for Theerapat on charges of premeditated murder, illegal possession of firearms, and firing weapons in a public place.
