Woman Dies After Swerving Motorcycle, Car Plunges Into Canal

A tragic accident claimed the life of a 26-year-old woman in Chon Buri province on September 11 when her Mitsubishi Pajero veered off the road and plunged into a canal. Investigative Officer Wisut Prompracha from Phan Thong Police Station responded to reports of a vehicle crash with a fatality on Ban Om Gaeo Road, Mab Po Sub-District, Phan Thong District, Chon Buri Province. Rescue personnel from the Sawang Uthayang Phan Thong Foundation discovered a white Pajero submerged in the canal and recovered one deceased victim, identified as Rukngam (a pseudonym), 26 years old, with a severe head wound.
According to Thanapong Rong Meung, a 32-year-old motorcycle rider who witnessed the incident, he had signaled to turn into a residential area when the Pajero, traveling behind him, suddenly lost control and crashed into the adjacent canal. Police have not yet confirmed whether the accident was caused solely by an attempt to avoid the motorcycle or whether other factors were involved. Investigators are examining the scene, gathering evidence, and questioning witnesses to establish the true cause of the accident before proceeding with legal action.
