A factory worker in Ayutthaya province narrowly escaped two intruders who climbed over her fence and attempted to break into her home around 3 a.m. on September 5. She woke to the sound of someone prying at her window, turned on the lights, and spotted the suspect hiding near her house, causing both men to flee.
The 32-year-old homeowner, Nanlini, showed investigators pry marks on her door and window frames and provided security camera footage from a neighboring house that captured the suspects' movements. She recounted that after hearing suspicious sounds at 3 a.m., she turned on her bedroom lights and peeked through the curtains to discover a man hiding beside her house. When he realized she had seen him, he climbed the fence and fled.
Nanlini expressed deep fear, noting how close the suspect came to her and that opening the door could have put her in serious danger. She later obtained footage from a neighbor's security camera showing two men lingering in the village and around her house before the attempted break-in. She also learned that a neighbor's home had been targeted similarly, with the suspects breaking into the roof, stealing a security camera, and taking several items.
Police have begun investigating the incidents and reviewing security footage to identify and pursue the suspects. Nanlini has urged police to act quickly and warned other residents, particularly women living alone at night, to keep doors and windows locked, check for any unusual activity, and call police immediately if they notice anything suspicious rather than confronting intruders directly.
