Bangkok Hospital Wins Three Awards at HMA 2026

Bangkok Hospital Headquarters has claimed three awards at the Hospital Management Asia Awards 2026, comprising one Gold Award and two Excellence Awards from over 409 competing entries submitted by 153 hospitals across 18 countries. The achievements reflect the hospital's capability in advancing healthcare through patient-centered approaches, innovation to boost treatment and management efficiency, and environmentally conscious sustainable operations.

The Gold Award for Patient Experience Improvement went to Wattanosoth Cancer Hospital for its "Care Beyond Cure" programme, which embodies a Value-Based Healthcare model focused on delivering meaningful health outcomes while prioritising patient experience. The approach emphasizes Patient-Reported Outcomes across physical, mental, and quality-of-life dimensions throughout each stage of cancer treatment.

The first Excellence Award for Best in Financial Improvement recognized Wattanosoth Cancer Hospital's innovation in scaling Ga-68 PSMA radiopharmaceutical production for prostate cancer diagnosis using PET/CT technology. By implementing dual generators, the hospital increased service capacity while reducing per-patient costs by 67 percent and generating approximately 38.9 million baht in annual revenue.

The second Excellence Award for Most Sustainable Hospital went to Bangkok Hospital Headquarters for "Caring for Your Health, Caring for Our Planet," demonstrating its commitment to integrating sustainability principles into healthcare operations. The initiative aims to minimize environmental impact, raise awareness among staff and patients, and promote efficient resource use to ensure long-term healthcare delivery alongside environmental stewardship.
