Amata BIG, a joint venture between Amata Corporation Public Company Limited and Bangkok Industrial Gas Company Limited, has officially commissioned its third air separation facility within Amata City industrial estate in Chachoengsao province. The new plant aims to increase industrial gas production capacity and support growth among key industries in the Eastern Economic Corridor and surrounding provinces.
The facility will produce more than 27,000 tons of nitrogen annually to meet the needs of target industries including flat glass manufacturing, chemicals, and automotive production, all of which are experiencing continuous expansion in the Eastern Economic Corridor zone.
The launch of Amata BIG's third air separation plant represents a significant step in strengthening infrastructure at the Amata industrial estate, ensuring it can support industrial operations at full efficiency and comprehensively assist investors in targeted sectors.
"This project reflects Amata's vision of developing an industrial city prepared for continuous growth and capable of responding to the ever-changing needs of the industrial sector," said a company statement. "It reinforces the Amata Group's commitment to delivering comprehensive and reliable services that empower business operators in Thailand's industrial estates to conduct business smoothly, efficiently, and with greater confidence."
Orla Charoenlab, Managing Director of Bangkok Industrial Gas Company Limited, added that Amata BIG combines BIG's expertise in industrial gases and innovation with Amata's strength as a leading industrial estate developer and operator.
Beyond securing industrial gas supply, the third facility will reduce greenhouse gas emissions from transportation by more than 7,000 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent annually, demonstrating Amata BIG's commitment to supporting industrial growth alongside sustainability.
The Amata BIG third air separation plant operates as an on-site, unmanned facility controlled remotely from a central control center. It employs highly efficient production technology that reduces dependence on gas transportation from external sources, enhances delivery continuity, and raises safety standards in accordance with global standards set by Air Products, BIG's parent company in the United States.
