Thailand's U-17 women's team defeated Macau 9-0 in the Asian Championship qualifiers held at Chonburi Stadium, securing top spot in Group F with two wins. Pavichaya Yotsaworarat scored a hat-trick, while Mericah Sheila Murdoch contributed two goals and substitutes added to the tally. The result keeps Thailand on course for the final tournament.
Thailand opened the scoring in the 32nd minute when Mericah Sheila Murdoch collected the ball near the byline and laid it off to Pavichaya Yotsaworarat, who finished low to make it 1-0. Just before halftime, the side doubled its advantage in the 53rd minute as Murdoch cut inside from the right and curled a left‑footed shot into the net for 2-0.
Two minutes later, Pavichaya added her second after a close‑range effort was saved, with the rebound falling to Murdoch, who scored her second. In the 61st minute, Pavichaya completed her brace with a curling finish into the top corner for 4-0. Substitute Paveesuda Auanlam headed in a corner for 5-0 in the 67th minute, and Kanyapat Muang‑on struck from the edge of the box in the 71st minute to make it 6-0.
Thailand kept pressing, and in the 77th minute a move involving Kanyapat, Pavichaya and Nantinya Mi Pho produced the seventh goal. Pavichaya completed her hat‑trick in the 82nd minute with a left‑footed curler into the top corner for 8-0. The final goal came in the 89th minute when Pavichaya set up Waranthorn Phongkhoksee, who tapped in to make it 9-0. Thailand finished the match with a 9‑0 victory, topping Group F.
