Kasetsart University is advancing its education quality toward international standards by welcoming the 544th AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance) external program-level assessment for the 2026 academic year, held from October 20-22, 2026. The assessment covered four programs from the Faculties of Agro-Industry, Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Technology, and Social Sciences. The university aims to leverage external evaluators' feedback to further develop curricula for quality, alignment with ASEAN standards, and enhanced international competitiveness.
Professor Ir. Dr. Shahrir Abdullah, Chair and Head of the AUN-QA Assessment Committee, led the team in evaluating the quality of education management and operational processes of each program, providing comments and recommendations to support systematic and continuous quality improvement.
Preliminary results reflect three key shared strengths of Kasetsart University: the translation of educational philosophy into practice, with personnel effectively applying the university's philosophy in teaching; the expertise of academic staff in teaching, research, and student advising; and an environment and facilities conducive to learning, particularly the Bang Khen campus with its pleasant, eco-friendly atmosphere and modern, well-maintained laboratories and facilities.
At the same time, the assessment committee proposed three important development guidelines for the university to more effectively elevate program quality: strengthening Outcome-Based Education (OBE) by linking learning outcomes, teaching methods, and assessment to clearly reflect student competencies; promoting stakeholder engagement, especially alumni, employers, and graduate users, to systematically reflect needs and provide data for continuous curriculum development to align with labor market demands and changing work contexts; and expanding benchmarking with peer institutions at both regional and international levels, covering operational processes, research, intellectual property, and strategic performance outcomes, to use comparative data for analyzing strengths and development opportunities and setting directions for elevating program quality to compete internationally.
Associate Professor Dr. Anant Mungwatana, Acting Vice President for Quality Development, representing the President of Kasetsart University, thanked the assessment committee for contributing their knowledge and expertise along with valuable comments and recommendations. The university places importance on the assessment results and will use the recommendations as guidelines for continuous improvement and elevation of program quality, ensuring education quality meets ASEAN standards and builds graduate capacity for international competition.
