Bangkok Bank Extends Flood Relief With Year-Long Payment Holidays

Bangkok Bank has announced assistance measures for customers affected by flooding. For business credit customers, the bank offers flexible repayment terms including reduced installments, extended payment periods, and temporary principal payment deferrals of up to 12 months. The bank also provides additional support to large enterprises for short-term liquidity, facility repairs, and business recovery, along with SME credit with maximum five-year loan terms at a fixed rate starting at 3.5% annually for the first two years, then not less than MLR-1% annually, under the GSB Soft Loan program for Business Revival through September 30, 2025.

For retail credit customers, Bangkok Bank has prepared various measures to ease repayment conditions based on the severity of impact. Credit card relief includes reducing minimum payment rates by 3% for up to 6-12 months, reducing accrued interest by up to 75% for no more than three billing cycles or 90 days, and three-month principal and interest payment deferrals at 5% annually. Personal loans offer interest rate reductions of 1% or principal payment deferrals of 3-6 months. Housing loans can have monthly installments reduced by up to 40% for 6-12 months, interest rate reductions of 0.5% for 3-6 months, or principal payment deferrals while maintaining full or partial interest payments.

For new and additional borrowing, Bangkok Bank supports home loans with up to five-year repayment terms at a special rate of MRR-2% (4.50%) annually, plus free property assessment fees, for home repairs. Flood-affected customers can request to join the assistance program until December 30, 2025 at bank branches, business units, or the credit card department.
