Bangkok Schools Mobilize Relief as Floods Strike City

On September 28, Education Minister Praiseert Chantarawongtong and senior ministry officials visited Phyathai School to oversee a relief initiative called 'Caravan of Compassion' aimed at supporting flood-affected schools, students, and education staff across Bangkok. The Bangkok Primary Education Area Office used Phyathai School as a central distribution hub, preparing fresh meal boxes and emergency supply bags for those affected by the flooding.
On that day alone, organizers prepared 600 lunch boxes and 550 emergency supply bags for distribution. The Bangkok Primary Education Area Office reported that 4 of its 37 affiliated schools were affected by floods: Phraya Praseurt Suntarasai School, Bang Bua School, Pibul Upatham School, and Wat Uthai Tharam School.
The Secondary Education Area Office Zone 1 reported 4 schools affected out of 67 total: Chaichimp Phliwittayakom School, Nawamintrachini Ratchamangkalabishek School, Ratanakosindhorn Sompoch Bang Khun Thian School, and Taweethaphisek Bang Khun Thian School.
The Secondary Education Area Office Zone 2 reported 20 schools affected out of 52, including Sariwitthaya School, Ratchawini Bang Khen School, Satreewitthaya 2 School, Ratanakosindhorn Sompoch Bang Khen School, Bodindecha Singh Singhaseni School, Bang Kapi School, Wat Bung Thong Luang Secondary School, Ratanakosindhorn Sompoch Lad Krabang School, Sri Phrueda School, Don Muang Chaturchinda School, Ladplakao Phittayakom School, Setthabutr Bamphen School, Protphitthaphayat School, and others.
The Bangkok Vocational Institute reported 8 schools affected out of 27, including Meenburi Technical College, Kanchanapisek Bangkok Technical College, Don Muang Technical College, Ratchasittikarn Technical College, and Kanchanapisek Nong Chok Vocational College, all offering repair center services.
