Bank Guard and Driver Clash in Weapons Fight
A bank driver and security guard clashed with a baton and knife behind a bank in Sri Racha, Chon Buri, leaving both injured during a dispute rooted in a two-month rivalry.
At 9:30 a.m. on September 3, 2025, a dispute erupted behind a bank in Moo 3, Bao Win subdistrict, Sri Racha district, Chon Buri province, leaving both men injured. Security camera footage recorded a bank driver arguing with a security guard from another bank. The guard swung a baton at the driver's head, triggering a brawl. The driver then drew a fruit knife he kept at his waist for self-defense, resulting in injuries to both parties. A bystander intervened to separate them.
The driver, known as Tong, said he was washing a vehicle when the guard approached from behind and struck him on the head with the baton. The knife, which Tong used to cut a doormat, was tucked at his waist. During the fight, he drew it to protect himself. The guard ran into the bank for help before both men were taken to hospital. Tong required three stitches for a head wound, while the guard's condition remains unclear.
Investigators determined the two had a longstanding dispute spanning two months, with a history of confrontations. Assistant Inspector Tatchakorn Nararananthanya, investigation officer at Bao Win Police Station, is conducting a full investigation to determine appropriate legal action.
