Thai Tekken Player Book Says Team Gave Full Effort at Asian Games
Thailand's Tekken esports athlete Book says the national fighting games team gave their full effort after losing 2-3 to Hong Kong in the Asian Games quarterfinals on September 25.
Nophruj Hempamorn, known as Book, a Tekken esports athlete for Thailand's national team, posted that all members of the Fighting Game team gave their best effort after reaching the quarterfinals at the Asian Games.
The esports competition at the 2026 Asian Games in Japan features Fighting Games comprising Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, and The King of Fighters XV. On September 25, Thailand's Fighting Games team competed in the quarterfinals against Hong Kong. The Thai gamers suffered a disappointing 2-3 loss, ending their run in the tournament.
After the match, Nophruj Hempamorn, the Tekken esports athlete, posted the following message:
"We lost to the Hong Kong team, and that marks the end of our journey at this Asian Games. There is nothing to regret because I believe we all gave our absolute best. Thank you to everyone for your support and encouragement throughout this journey."
