Temple Opens Parking for Flood-Affected Residents
Wat Phra Dhammakaya in Pathum Thani has opened its parking building to flood-affected residents, offering space for up to 1,000 vehicles through September 28. Owners must remove valuables and follow temple rules including no overnight stays
Wat Phra Dhammakaya and the Dhammakaya Foundation have opened parking building 1 within the temple grounds in Khlong Luang district, Pathum Thani province, to assist residents affected by flooding following continuous rainfall in the area. The parking structure can accommodate around 1,000 vehicles.
Phra Maha Napphorn Punnacho, deputy abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, stated that the temple is providing parking space from September 25–28 or until conditions change. Vehicles must be in drivable condition and parked only in the designated parking building 1 area. Vehicle owners are asked to remove cash, important documents, and valuables, as the temple assumes no responsibility for loss or damage to items left in vehicles.
Overnight parking inside vehicles is not permitted, and pets cannot be left in cars. As the temple is a religious site, smoking, alcohol consumption, and all illicit drugs are prohibited. Vehicle users must also strictly follow traffic regulations.
