The Cabinet has approved the appointment of Ekaphop Pieanpisesa to serve as Government Spokesman, effective September 8, 2025, according to an announcement made at Parliament by Deputy Government Spokesman Lalida Persvivat. The Cabinet endorsed the appointment of one political official as proposed by the Office of the Prime Minister. According to reports, the appointment constitutes a position swap between Ekaphop, a former Chiang Rai MP from the Move Forward Party who previously assisted Prime Minister's Office Minister Phrayadon Parisnanantakul, and Ratchada Thanadireck, the outgoing Government Spokesman who will now serve as assistant to the minister.
