Cabinet Appoints Jesada Chivavichvalkul as Religion Department Chief
The Cabinet appointed Jesada Chivavichvalkul as director-general of the Department of Religious Affairs, effective October 1, replacing a retiring official.
The Cabinet appointed Jesada Chivavichvalkul as director-general of the Department of Religious Affairs on 22 September 2025 at Government House. Deputy Government Spokesperson Lalida Perithwiwattana announced that the Cabinet approved the Culture Ministry's proposal to appoint Jesada Chivavichvalkul, inspector of the Ministry of Culture's permanent secretary office, to the post of director-general of the Department of Religious Affairs, replacing the current official who is retiring. The appointment becomes effective from 1 October 2025 and from the date of royal endorsement. Deputy Prime Minister Supachee Suthammapun has given her approval.
