On September 22, 2025, the National Anti-Corruption Commission released the asset and liability statements of Deputy Prime Minister Yasothon Wongsudat and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, filed upon his appointment to parliament as a party-list member of the Pheu Thai Party on March 15, 2025.
Yasothon and his wife, Nantakarn Silpsewakul, declared combined assets of 347.8 million baht and liabilities of 375,580 baht. Yasothon's personal assets total 292.9 million baht, comprising bank deposits across 16 accounts worth 109.1 million baht; 28 land plots in Bangkok, Chachoengsao, Nakhon Pathom, Phetchaburi, Chiang Rai, and Narathiwat valued at 123.1 million baht; 12 buildings and structures worth 49.4 million baht including offices, townhouses, and condominium units; and other assets worth 11.3 million baht. He carries debts of 234,553 baht in overdraft.
Yasothon reported annual income of approximately 3.94 million baht from salary, rental income, and allowances, against annual expenses of 3.5 million baht. His personal luxury items include two Patek Philippe watches valued at 2 million baht each, a Rolex watch worth 1.5 million baht, four diamond rings totaling 4.95 million baht, gold necklaces, and a Louis Vuitton travel bag worth 125,000 baht.
His wife, Nantakarn, declared personal assets of 54.9 million baht including bank deposits of 6.7 million baht, one land plot worth 3.96 million baht, and a two-storey townhouse valued at 2.3 million baht, with additional assets worth 42 million baht and debts of 141,027 baht. Her luxury items include four Patek Philippe watches, one Cartier, one Chopard, and one Rolex totaling 8.7 million baht; 15 diamond rings worth 6.04 million baht; diamond and pearl earrings; four diamond bracelets valued at 3.98 million baht; a gold clutch worth 3 million baht; a gold-filled handbag worth 500,000 baht; a gold belt worth 1.5 million baht; and two ostrich leather bags worth 100,000 baht. She also owns 51 designer handbags from brands including Prada, Dior, Goyard, Miu Miu, Emilio Pucci, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Hermès.
Yasothon is the son of Somchai Wongsudat and the brother of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra's sister, Yaowalak Wongsudat. Over the past five years, he has held positions as medical device committee member, Mahidol University board member, deputy director of engineering research and international relations, director of the Institute of Management Technology and Innovation at Mahidol University, and deputy rector for research at Mahidol University.
