Car Manufacturers Launch Flood Relief Programs for Thai Motorists

Severe flooding across Thailand has left many vehicles submerged, prompting automobile manufacturers to launch assistance programmes. Toyota, Isuzu, Suzuki, Honda and MG are providing free inspections, parts and labour discounts, special financing options, and in some cases debt relief or relief kits for affected customers. The initiatives run from late September 2026 into early 2027, aiming to help motorists recover and get back on the road.

The heavy flooding has produced distressing images across many regions, with houses, appliances and vehicles submerged under endless water, likely causing major damage. Today, ‘Khao Sot Yanyan’ has compiled the automobile and motorcycle manufacturers that have rolled out maintenance assistance campaigns for vehicles hit by flood, submersion or driving through water.

Toyota provides full‑service support—not only for Toyota vehicles but also for customers’ homes. Services include self‑inspection advice via various channels, emergency assistance, free vehicle inspections at service centres, coordination with relevant agencies to ensure smooth service, and discounts on repairs for flood‑damaged cars: up to 50 % off participating parts and 30 % off chemicals. Toyota Leasing adds special cash‑flow help through its Sabuy Cash and Sabuy Jai refinance programmes, offering up to 100 % financing at a promotional 3.49 % interest rate for customers who need funds to repair or improve their homes.

Isuzu expressed sympathy and offered free vehicle inspections, a 30 % discount on labour, and a 30 % discount on parts (excluding accessories, car batteries and tyres) through a programme running from today until 30 December 2026. Isuzu Leasing announced a debt‑payment deferment of up to three months for flood‑affected customers, with repayment terms adjustable as appropriate, available for application from today until 30 November 2026.

Suzuki pledged to share the burden, giving a 30 % discount on genuine Suzuki parts and chemicals (excluding labour, batteries, spark plugs, tyres and accessories) from today until 31 December 2026. It also launched the SUZUKI “V” CARE campaign, allowing affected customers to exchange proof of damage for a new Suzuki vehicle and receive an additional discount of up to 110,000 baht, valid from today until 30 November 2026.

Honda, via the Honda Khian Thai fund, delivered relief to flood victims in eleven provinces, distributing more than 7,000 survival kits worth a total of 3.5 million baht. For Honda customers, it provides a 30 % parts discount and free 25‑point vehicle inspections for flood‑affected cars, running from today until 31 December 2026.

SAIC Motor‑CP and MG Sales (Thailand), together with MG dealers nationwide, are assisting MG owners impacted by the flood crisis with free vehicle inspections and a reduction of up to 30 % on parts and labour costs, effective from 25 September 2026 to 28 February 2027.
