A new cookbook featuring recipes from renowned chefs aims to transform surplus food into social value by sharing culinary techniques with community kitchens and networks across Thailand. CP Extra, operator of Makro and Lotus, partnered with senior manager Atthisit Chaimchuay, Dr. Worawan Raktruengdej, Dr. Pattamaporn Prachumrattana from the National Science and Technology Development Agency, and Thawee Impooltaweep from Scholars of Sustainability Thailand to launch the "Cookbook: Recipes from Surplus Food Ingredients" at Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao.

The cookbook compiles recipes created from surplus food ingredients by nationally renowned chefs for distribution to community kitchens and volunteer networks across Thailand, providing guidelines for preparing and cooking quality meals. Chef Hmae Semaiphon from Chef's Club by Makro contributed recipes including "Striped Snake Head with Herbs" and "Golden Purse with Mixed Vegetables" to support the initiative, aligning with CP Extra's policy of systematically managing food surplus and maximizing ingredient value for social benefit.

CP Extra continues expanding partnerships with government, private sector, and community organizations to build a sharing society and improve quality of life for Thai people through sustainable business practices. The cookbook contains 23 creative menus from chefs and food experts, sharing recipes and knowledge with Thailand's Food Bank volunteer network to prepare quality, safe meals for vulnerable populations nationwide.
