From just 20 boxes of rice, it has become a large stock of food and necessities. Deaw Maktae, the village representative, thanked all the agencies, which meant that over 400 households did not go hungry.

Date: September 3, 2026. Earlier, Deaw Maktae, also known as Seksan Sutthichan, actor and model, had posted as a voice for the village after being flooded and unable to leave, causing a food shortage. Some meals had only 20 boxes of rice to split among more than 400 households, which was still not enough. He appealed for help from various agencies.

Today, after Deaw Maktae posted that message, officers from the Ruam Katanyu Foundation and many other agencies brought food, drinking water and supplies in large amounts. Deaw then posted his thanks, saying:

'I, Deaw Maktae, on behalf of the residents of Plee No Bangna-Onnut, sincerely thank you all. Thank you to every agency that has helped us greatly. Right now, the wave of goodwill is flowing in abundantly. Thank you to every voice that helped the over 400 households receive assistance. Thank you to every share that allowed us to help children, the elderly and the sick survive the disaster. Thank you for turning those 20 boxes of rice that day into plenty of food and supplies. Thank you from our hearts, the people of Plee No. Thank you to all media outlets as well.'

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Smith Sri Sont says the change would benefit only the liquor and cigarette industries while the public gains little, and he is calling for opposition via an online survey before October 14, 2026.

REIC Forecasts Land Price Surge Along New Bangkok Rail Lines

REIC predicts a sharp increase in land prices along Bangkok’s new Orange, Pink and Yellow electric rail lines, driven by updated zoning and higher floor‑area ratios.
