A 23-year-old convenience store worker suffered serious injuries when his motorcycle collided with an SUV on September 21 in Si Khiew District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Dashcam footage recorded the moment the motorcycle struck the SUV near a restaurant in front of the Greenview traffic lights; the motorcycle's front end was crushed and it became lodged against the SUV's rear wheel. The rider, who was fortunate enough to be wearing a helmet, sustained lacerations to his forehead, nose, and face, along with abrasions across his body and dizziness, but remained conscious. Initial investigation revealed that the Toyota Fortuner SUV was reversing to cross to the opposite lane when it cut in front of the oncoming motorcycle at close range, leaving the rider no time to brake before the full-force collision shattered the vehicle's door window and severely damaged the motorcycle. Rescue workers provided emergency aid before transferring the injured man to Si Khiew Hospital, while police examined CCTV footage and evidence to determine the exact cause and details of the accident before proceeding with legal action.
