Ramakhamhaeng University students are grieving after a beloved campus dog nicknamed "Moo Daeng" drowned in severe flooding that has affected all 50 districts of Bangkok. The Four-Legged Rams Facebook page posted a sorrowful announcement: "Moo Daeng has drowned in the floodwaters. Her time has come. This flooding at Ramakhamhaeng is truly devastating. Water at the university entrance has now reached chest level, so we cannot go inside." The post resonated with many students, who expressed their heartbreak in comments, saying things like "So pitiful, may she find peace in the next life" and "Not all dogs can swim well, and even if they can, they may not have the strength to keep going." As the university and surrounding neighborhoods grappled with the crisis, concerns also grew for other animals trapped in cages or tethered during the flooding, with many lives—human and animal alike—lost to the disaster.
