Drug suspect arrested after fleeing up tree during raid

A young man suspected of methamphetamine use fled to a jackfruit tree when police raided his home in Ratchaburi province. Officers tracked him down, called him out of the tree, and safely brought him to the ground after he nearly fell. A search uncovered 41 methamphetamine pills hidden on his person. He was arrested and charged with drug possession and use. On September 23, 2026, Bang Pae Police in Ratchaburi received a tip that a house in Moo 5, Wang Yen subdistrict, was linked to drug activity. Officers went to investigate. When they arrived at the house, the man they were looking for was not there. He appeared to have fled. Officers spread out to search the area for clues and track him down. During the search, officers spotted a man hiding in a jackfruit tree. They approached and ordered him to come down, but as he was descending, he nearly fell from the tree. Officers helped safely bring him to the ground. A body search found 41 methamphetamine pills concealed on him. The suspect also admitted to using methamphetamine previously. Officers arrested him and confiscated the drugs, sending him to Bang Pae Police Station for prosecution on charges of illegal drug possession and drug use.
