Nas Mia Chok, a Hat Yai-based funeral service operator, has announced plans to relocate seven vehicles and all motorcycles to Nakhon Ratchasima, fearing he will miss the deadline to move them. While currently on a merit-making trip in Hong Kong, he shared a social media warning about major flooding expected across multiple areas during September 24-27, stating he believes the forecast.
Nas posted that he is not overreacting but will return to Thailand tomorrow with all motorcycles loaded onto a trailer and seven vehicles moved to Nakhon Ratchasima as a precaution. He emphasized that even if it costs him money in taxes, he cannot rely on the government and must protect his assets himself.
Hat Yai residents have responded supportively in the comments, sharing their own experiences with previous flooding events. Many agreed that advance preparation is better than dealing with losses later, noting that the city experienced severe flooding before when warnings were initially dismissed.
