A dramatic scene unfolded at around 3:07 a.m. on September 9 near a shop at the Sankayom intersection in San Sai District, Chiang Mai, when a woman driving a gray sedan deliberately rammed a motorcycle driven by a young man, causing him to lose control and crash into a parked vehicle. Security camera footage shows the car driver reversing and attempting to strike the motorcycle rider multiple times as he lay on the road shouting "Stop, stop, stop." Inside the car, the woman could be heard shouting at the man about bringing another woman to a hotel.
The incident was shared online by Pop, the owner of the parked vehicle that was damaged. Pop explained that after confronting the female driver, he learned that she was angry after discovering her ex-boyfriend had cheated on her and was bringing another woman into a hotel, prompting her to follow and attack him. Emergency responders arrived to help the injured motorcycle rider and transport him to hospital. Pop stated he negotiated compensation with the female driver for the damage to his vehicle and chose to share the clip online as a cautionary tale about letting emotions escalate into dangerous road rage that harms innocent bystanders.
