Gulf Labs Joins Injective as Institutional Validator for Onchain Finance
Gulf Labs has partnered with Injective to become an official Institutional Validator on its blockchain, aiming to build on‑chain finance infrastructure for Thailand’s institutional sector and expand across Asia. The collaboration will explore tokenization, stablecoins, AI‑linked data centers, and user‑access initiatives, while connecting Injective to the GULF Group’s energy, telecom, banking and digital‑asset ecosystem. Gulf Labs’ involvement also supports Injective’s broader Asian institutional network, following similar projects in South Korea and Japan.
Gulf Labs is advancing its role in the digital asset ecosystem by announcing a strategic partnership with Injective, a blockchain built specifically for financial services. It will officially begin operating as an Institutional Validator—an entity that verifies and confirms institutional-level transactions—on the Injective network. This step aims to jointly lay the groundwork for developing on-chain finance systems (financial systems that conduct transactions and record data on blockchain) for Thailand’s institutional sector and to further growth opportunities across Asia.
Gulf Labs and Injective plan to jointly study development opportunities in several areas, including tokenization, stablecoins, expanding nationwide user access channels, providing education and organizing events, as well as data centers and AI (artificial intelligence) infrastructure to connect blockchain technology with Thailand’s financial and digital economy sectors.
The partnership marks another step in Injective’s strategy to expand its institutional network across Asia, following collaborations in South Korea, Japan, and Thailand. Gulf Labs’ participation will help link the Injective network to the business ecosystem of the GULF Group, which encompasses energy, telecommunications, banking, digital assets, cloud services (computing and storage delivered over networks), and data centers.
Currently, the GULF Group has a market capitalization of approximately US$27 billion, with an energy business portfolio totaling more than 24 gigawatts (GW) of installed capacity. Its telecommunications unit serves over 46 million mobile users, forming a substantial infrastructure and user base capable of supporting future digital technology and service development.
Laying the blockchain infrastructure to connect the institutional sector
Under the partnership, Gulf Labs has begun serving as a Validator on the Injective network, with responsibilities for verifying and confirming transactions, maintaining network security, and participating in network governance. This represents an important starting point for connecting Injective with Thailand’s physical and digital infrastructure.
Gulf Labs focuses on investing in venture businesses, research and development, and blockchain infrastructure. Being under GULF Holding places this work close to the banking, telecommunications, supervised digital asset access, cloud services, and large‑scale computing operations.
Thailand builds on Injective’s Asian strategy
At present, Injective’s operations in Asia cover institutional tokenization, regulated market access, research, acting as a Validator, and user‑access channels in each country.
In South Korea, POSCO International and LG CNS have selected Injective for a pilot project to tokenize trade receivables arising from genuine commercial transactions, while Four Pillars operates as an Institutional Validator on Injective to support operations, governance, and ecosystem development in South Korea and the broader Asia‑Pacific region.
In Thailand, the M‑INJ fund management strategy for Injective, run by Merkle Capital under the supervision of the Thai Securities and Exchange Commission, invests in INJ and stablecoins such as USDC.
The collaboration with Gulf Labs will extend Thailand’s efforts from creating user‑access channels for assets to developing network infrastructure, linking institutional sectors, providing education, and applying technology commercially.
