Gunman Kills 32-Year-Old Outside Home in Nakhon Si Thammarat
A 32‑year‑old man was shot dead outside his home in Chawang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat, after a quarrel escalated into gunfire. The unidentified assailant fled on a noisy motorcycle, leaving the victim’s motorcycle and a blood‑stained car at the scene. Police are reviewing CCTV and chasing leads, suspecting a personal motive.
Witnesses heard a heated argument before a single gunshot rang out. The assailant, riding a loud‑exhaust motorcycle, had followed the victim’s Honda motorcycle bearing a Nakhon Si Thammarat license plate to the scene. After a brief scuffle, the gunman fired a shotgun at close range, striking the victim in the neck. The victim collapsed and died in a pool of blood. The attacker sped away on his motorcycle. Police Lieutenant Som Sak Charoen Chaloem Sak said investigators arrived quickly, secured the scene, and began collecting evidence. Police Colonel Suchart Songsom ordered the investigative unit to pursue the suspect aggressively. Preliminary inquiries suggest the killing may stem from a personal grudge or an undisclosed dispute. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage along various routes to identify the gunman and bring him to justice.
