On September 26, the Meteorological Department issued weather alert number 10 warning of heavy to very heavy rain across Thailand through September 27, 2025. Between September 26 and 27, the northern, northeastern, central, and eastern regions, along with Bangkok and its vicinity, and the southern region are expected to experience heavy rain in many areas with very heavy rain in some locations. This is caused by a strong low-pressure depression covering the lower central region and Bangkok moving along the monsoon trough crossing the central area, combined with an intensifying southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea, southern Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand.
The public is warned to be alert to dangers from heavy to very heavy rain and accumulated rainfall that could cause sudden flash floods and flash floods, especially in hillside areas near water channels and in low-lying areas. Avoid traveling through routes with recurring flood problems, particularly in low-lying areas where water may accumulate short-term. Sea conditions in the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand are strengthening, with waves 2-3 meters high in the upper Gulf and upper Andaman, and higher than 3 meters in thunderstorm areas. The lower Gulf and lower Andaman have waves around 2 meters, exceeding 2 meters during thunderstorms. Fishermen in the Gulf and Andaman should exercise caution and avoid areas with thunderstorms. Small boats in the upper Gulf and upper Andaman should remain ashore through September 27, 2025.

Affected provinces on September 26 experiencing very heavy rain include Tak and Phetchabun (North), Nakhon Ratchasima (Northeast), Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Lopburi, Saraburi, Chainat, Sing Buri, Ang Thong, Ayutthaya, Suphan Buri, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon, Samut Songkhram, Bangkok and vicinity (Central), Nakhon Nayok, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi, Trat (East), and Phetchaburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan (South). Provinces experiencing heavy rain include Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Lamphun, Lampang, Uttaradit, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet, Phichit (North), Loei, Nong Bua Lamphu, Khon Kaen, Chaiyaphum, Buri Ram, Surin, Si Sa Ket (Northeast), and Chumphon, Surat Thani, Ranong, Phangnga (South).
