Japanese Volleyball Coach Shin Yoshida Bids Farewell to Thai Fans

Japanese coach Shin Yoshida, who helped Thailand's women's volleyball team win the 2026 Asian Championship and qualify for the 2028 LA Olympics, has announced his departure to Italy for further development as a coach.

Shin Yoshida, a Japanese staff coach and statistical analyst who helped Thailand's women's volleyball team win the 2026 Asian Championship and secure a berth to the 2028 LA Olympics, has posted an emotional farewell message. In a personal Instagram post (@shin_yoshida22), Yoshida thanked everyone in the Thai volleyball community and all Thai volleyball fans for always welcoming him warmly as a foreigner. He expressed that Thailand has become like a second home to him, and that returning to Thailand after competing abroad always feels like coming home. Yoshida announced he is now traveling to Italy to develop and grow further both as a person and as a volleyball coach. He emphasized that he will never forget all the experiences and warmth he received from Thailand, and expressed hope of meeting everyone again someday. He concluded with heartfelt thanks to the Thai volleyball community.
