Man Hospitalized With Bowel Inflammation Warns Against Ignoring Digestive Changes
A Thai man hospitalized with colon inflammation warns others not to ignore sudden changes in bowel habits, after loose stools and abdominal pain revealed a dangerous pouch-like formation in his intestine.
It's no joke—a young man has shared his experience with frequent, easy bowel movements that escalated to a serious condition requiring hospitalization and diagnosis of intestinal inflammation. On July 31, TikTok user @landmadebyhand posted a warning to people who frequently use the bathroom and experience loose stools, saying it should not be taken lightly and can lead to hospitalization.
The poster, currently in hospital wear undergoing treatment, explained that he initially presented with severe lower abdominal pain. Doctors initially suspected appendicitis, but X-rays revealed inflammation of the colon, which disrupted normal bowel function. When doctors asked if he was constipated, he explained he was the opposite—he had always experienced easy, frequent bowel movements. However, over the past month, his bowel habits changed: stools became loose and foul-smelling, followed by indigestion, gas, and bloating, until severe abdominal pain forced him to seek medical care. He has now been hospitalized for four days without solid food while awaiting further endoscopic examination.
In his latest update, the poster revealed the diagnosis: a pouch-like formation in the intestine with pus and inflammation, approximately 3 centimeters in size, causing severe pain throughout his abdomen. Despite not drinking alcohol, smoking, eating spicy foods, consuming fermented fish, or eating unusual foods, he still developed these abnormalities. He emphasizes the importance of self-awareness and suggests that anyone experiencing similar changes should try adjusting their lifestyle habits. His main message is that listening to your body is crucial.
