At 8:10 p.m. on July 17, 2569 (2026), police from Muang Samut Songkhram Station responded to a report of a man killed by a ten-wheel truck at a gas pump along Rama Road at kilometer 55-250 on the Bangkok-bound parallel lane in Bang Kaew sub-district, Muang district, Samut Songkhram province. Rescue teams from the Sawarng Benjadhamma Foundation arrived at the scene to find a gruesome sight: a 66-year-old man with his body severed at the torso by the truck's wheels. His overturned motorcycle, registered in Samut Songkhram, lay nearby. A Hino ten-wheel truck bearing a Saraburi license plate was parked at the gas station, with blood traces found on its left rear wheel.
The victim's wife arrived at the scene in deep grief and told officers that she and her husband were salt merchants living in Muang Samut Songkhram. In the afternoon, he had ridden his motorcycle to visit a friend at a house in Dao Dong. Around 8 p.m., she called him to say he was riding home and would arrive soon. She called again but could not reach him. A friend then called to inform her that her husband had been hit by a truck. Police have transported the body to a hospital and are expediting an investigation using CCTV footage to determine the actual cause and proceed with legal action.
