Manutsawee Holds First Major Concert at Bangkok's Thunder Dome
Manutsawee held its first major concert, 'Wish You Happiness with Sad Songs', at Bangkok's Thunder Dome on October 3, drawing a devoted fan base known as 'Sae Lin'. The show featured the band's hit songs, guest appearances by PINKIE, Terd Tilly Birds, and The Darkest Romance, and moved through energetic, folk, and emotional segments. Members thanked fans, family, and their label for making the milestone possible.
Long-awaited! Manutsawee opened the house of music, bringing hit songs and guest performers to deliver happiness to the 'Sae Lin' fans in the 'Wish You Happiness with Sad Songs' concert. The band’s journey through music and people's feelings finally brought them to their first major concert, 'Chang Music Connection presents Wish You Happiness with Sad Songs', held on October 3 at Thunder Dome, Muang Thong Thani.
The venue was filled with 'Sae Lin' fans of Manutsawee who had gathered warmly. When the performance began, the stage was transformed into a home opening its doors to welcome everyone into Manutsawee's night, led by vocalist and guitarist Bang-Manutsawir Kaewsai, violinist Tuk-Tuk-Naret Charoenphon, and drummer Mui-Kittipat Tupkrit. They guided the audience through songs like 'Knowing Love', 'It's Okay If You Cry', 'Comet That Fell in Love with an Astronaut', and 'Returning the Night', conveying that no matter whether one brings joy, sorrow, longing, or any story, this place is ready to hear every feeling, because Manutsawee aspires to be a space where everyone can lay down their experiences and emotions and move forward together through music.
As feelings opened up, Manutsawee moved into a more intense segment with the songs 'Distorted' and 'That I Regret', before inviting label mate PINKIE to add color to the stage with the tracks 'Love Story' and 'Before You Decide to Say Goodbye'. The atmosphere then shifted to an acoustic folk session, stripping back the grandeur of the stage to just music and intimate storytelling through 'Final Shutter', 'Words on That Day', and 'Pen That Ran Out of Ink', giving fans a chance to fully immerse in the songs.
Next, the mood deepened with the powerful and profound tracks 'I Still Can Wait' and 'Complex Relationship', featuring guest artist Terd Tilly Birds, who also performed a camp‑cover version of 'If We Meet Again'. After that, the three members returned to the stage with a violin and drum solo, adding energy and leading the audience onward with songs such as 'Longing Forever', 'Our Story in Days Past', 'Stop Time', and 'Hope'.
The special moments continued when the band The Darkest Romance appeared as another guest, performing 'Before' and 'Youth', lifting the hall’s emotions to another peak. In this segment, the sad songs ceased to merely express pain and became a shared voice that let many realize they were not alone in feeling that way that night. Besides performing, Max of The Darkest Romance served as co‑music director alongside Om Cocktail for this concert.
One of the warmest highlights of the night was when the three members thanked everyone who made their journey possible—fans, family, label head Jai of 9ARKKHAN, and all front‑of‑house and backstage crew who helped create their first major concert. They then returned to the music with the songs 'My Feeling' and 'World'...
