Mor Lam Star New Patcharee Halts Show Over Unpaid Wages

Popular Mor Lam singer New Patcharee stopped a concert in Phetchabun mid-performance after the organizer failed to pay the agreed 160,000 baht balance. Her management alleges the organizer then harassed her on stage, including attempting to lick her arm, while audience members heckled her over the unpaid fee. The singer's team says they received full payment only after the public confrontation and have not yet accepted the organizer's apology calls.

Mor Lam singer New Patcharee erupts in anger, exposing an event organizer for disrespecting and harassing artists on stage. She insists it is not a publicity stunt but a real incident.

The drama flared when a viral clip showed the singer ordering her band to stop mid-performance because the employer had not paid the full fee. After the organizer came up to settle the balance, she resumed the show, but the trouble continued when the organizer allegedly behaved inappropriately toward her on stage. Her management has now issued a detailed statement explaining what happened:

From the incident on November 4, 2026, when we performed in Na Ngua, Phetchabun, there has been widespread criticism. On behalf of the team and the band manager (manager Tu Tik Noi) for the joint concert with New Patcharee, we clarify as follows:

1. Regarding the organizer coming on stage and attempting to harass or threaten New Patcharee, we confirm there was no prior discussion or agreement. We are not close or personally acquainted, and have never worked together. We do not know if that side wanted to create content or something else, but we admit to being deeply hurt and upset. We tried to protect ourselves but could not escape when the organizer attempted to lick her arm and bowed down to lick (H-EE). We were extremely distressed and angry, but not wanting to ruin the atmosphere in front of the stage, we focused on the fans in front and resolved the immediate issue first so the show could continue.

2. Regarding expenses: the band's standard rate is 400,000 baht. Normally the team accepts a minimum of 250,000 baht (90-minute show) and 300,000-330,000 baht for 5 hours depending on distance. The agreed time was 21:00-02:00. However, the host requested an extra hour, performing from 20:00-02:00 (6 hours), and required the band to handle all food and drinks themselves. The agreed fee therefore included food plus the extra time.

3. New Patcharee announced a mid-show stop because she had not received payment as stipulated. The outstanding balance was 160,000 baht. Normally the team must receive full payment before every performance; otherwise we do not perform. But the organizer said they would pay later, and time dragged on until 1:00 AM. New Patcharee saw that the employer had gone to sleep and no one coordinated further.

New Patcharee therefore protected herself by demanding payment before continuing. Once the announcement was made and the remaining balance was paid, she continued performing because the show was finished and we had to travel to the next job in Khao Kho district, Kamphaeng Phet (we cannot conveniently travel during the day). That is why the clip of the stoppage appeared on media.

4. During the less-than-five-minute wait for the organizer to pay, a man and his friends (likely audience members) walked by and shouted, "New Patcharee is stingy, just for 160,000 baht," or words to that effect. We heard this and felt very sad. The money may be small to him, but for us it is a lot. We are not rich; we earn our daily bread as struggling Mor Lam singers. Like he said, the money may be little for him but it is huge for us.

That is the gist of the incident. We received full payment. The incident involved no staged content, nothing fabricated. We went to work as contracted. Whoever hires us, we go, because we respect everyone. But we deserve respect in return. We are not hungry for fame or limelight. The organizer did call, but we have not answered yet because we need to compose ourselves, admitting we are still in shock from the incident. We apologize and ask for understanding.
