Mother Seeks to Reclaim Son After Father Breaches Court Agreement

A mother and her lawyer filed a formal complaint with the Ministry of Social Development on September 16, 2025, seeking an investigation into the so-called "Father and Child Miracle" case after videos emerged of the father allowing his blindfolded son to ride a motorcycle on public roads—an act endangering both the child and other road users.
According to lawyer Praowrawee Wongwaitwiwong, representing the mother, the parents were previously married and separated about three years ago. The mother filed for custody while the father sought recognition and guardianship. Both parties entered negotiations in juvenile court and reached a compromise agreement on November 6, 2024, with one key term being that the father would cease producing content featuring the child. The lawyer noted that initially the father complied, but videos involving the child have since appeared repeatedly.
The mother expressed concern that both children have not been attending school and are not receiving proper basic education. She said she has attempted to visit the children but has been unable to do so as desired. The lawyer emphasized that the mother's sole desire is to have her children return to her, resume their education, receive behavioral guidance, and live a happy life. She has no desire for media attention or to profit from the children's notoriety.
When mediators previously attempted to facilitate the children's return to the mother, the children indicated reluctance. In custody cases, courts must consider the children's wishes while also assessing what best serves their interests and welfare. The mother believes the children may have misunderstood her as abandoning them due to infrequent contact, but she has continued to support them and does not want to publicize their situation.
The lawyer is preparing to file documents with the juvenile court on Friday, September 18, 2025, seeking to revoke the father's guardianship authority and restore sole guardianship to the mother, as originally agreed. However, the mother indicated that if the father can reform his behavior and attitude in the future, she would not prevent him from seeing the children, though she remains concerned that the children could be subjected to the same type of content production if they return to his care.
Ultimately, guardianship decisions rest with the court, which will determine custody based on evidence, testimony, and what serves the children's best interests.
