MP Criticizes Go-Kart Race Over Unequal Engines, Calls for Fairness
MP Pa Lik criticized a go‑kart race after allegations that the winning kart used a different engine, saying any variance breaches the rules regardless of whose child is driving. The dispute arose when Nong Phayu, son of celebrities Chompoo and Not, took first place, prompting the opposing team to protest and request an engine inspection. Pa Lik called for a fair investigation, stressing that the competition must be equal and warning that unresolved controversies could damage the sport.
MP Pa Lik of Kamphaeng Phet province, from the Klaitham Party, posted on his personal Facebook page on October 13, 2026, addressing the go‑kart controversy involving the sons of celebrities Chompoo‑Not and Poh‑Benz. After Nong Phayu, the son of Chompoo and Not, crossed the finish line to claim first place, the TNP Motorsport team, managed by socialite Poh, filed a protest requesting an inspection of the engine specifications of Phayu’s kart, alleging it might contain older parts that differ from those used by other competitors. Pa Lik insisted that in a one‑make race all karts must have identical engines and components; if the engines differ, it is a clear breach of the rules and the victory should not stand, irrespective of whose child is driving or how many fans they have. He believes the children themselves are unaware of any wrongdoing and that any fault lies with the parents. He urged a transparent investigation, warning that allowing such disputes to fester would harm the sport he loves. 'Prove it,' he said, 'loving your child means guiding them properly — anyone can see from Mars whether the engines are the same.'
