Nantana Accuses Election Commission of Sloppy Work

On September 21, senator Nantana Nantaworraphas spoke out about the Election Commission releasing investigation memos on allegations against senators in counts 4-7, which included New Generation Party members in a separate memo outside the main investigation. The commission voted unanimously to dismiss the case, but Nantana said she had no prior knowledge and was confused about what was happening.
Today Nantana assigned fellow senator Thawrit Maneechai to submit a letter to the Election Commission asking what occurred. She noted that if senators were to be accused, they should receive formal notification and be called for questioning, but this never happened. "The Election Commission is working sloppily, because the allegations have no basis and appear designed to lump different groups together as though they were the same, even though we were never accused before," Nantana said. "The documents only cite legal articles without clear details about what was done, where, or what behavior constitutes the offense."
When asked if the matter related to a Jupiter Room meeting on June 25, 2567, Nantana denied attending any meeting except at Jupiter Room and rejected claims it was a gathering, noting the Election Commission and media observers were present. She expressed concern that the Election Commission's investigation may be following political direction rather than evidence, and questioned whether the decision to recommend additional investigation in three other cases reflected unequal treatment.
Senator Wutthipong Phongsuwanna said he was unaware of the allegations because he was never called for clarification. He suspects the complaint came from a candidate in the Science and Technology innovation development group who filed against all members, which he considered understandable. He said he had no problem with the dismissal, which means the allegations had no merit whatsoever. "I don't know what I was accused of. I never went to Jupiter Room," Wutthipong said.
