National Police Chief Awards Certificates to 56 Counter-Terrorism Graduates
The National Police Chief awarded certificates to 56 officers completing an intensive counter-terrorism training program designed to combat rising threats from violent crime and public shooting incidents across Thailand.
National Police Chief General Siam Bunyasorn presided over the closing ceremony and certificate presentation for 56 officers who completed the Counter-Terrorism Course (Arintharaj 26), Batch 11, at the tactical shooting range of the Special Operations Command. Senior police commanders including Lieutenant General Thinakorn Somvandi, Deputy Commander Pithak Sutthikul, Deputy Commander Denhlaa Ratkij, Deputy Commander Aphichaan Sawasdiboot, Deputy Commander Ekaphop Tanprayoon, and Counter-Terrorism Bureau Commander Adit Vongchanna attended the ceremony.
National Police Chief Siam Bunyasorn stated that threats from violent crime and various crisis situations, particularly public shooting incidents, are increasing in frequency and severity. He emphasized that the Royal Thai Police prioritizes continuous enhancement of personnel capabilities, with the Arintharaj 26 curriculum serving as an intensive 18-week program to develop international-standard special operations officers with specialized expertise, sound physical and mental health, and decisive tactical skills.
"I congratulate all 56 police officers who have committed themselves and overcome the challenges of this training program," said the National Police Chief. "I encourage you to apply the knowledge, skills, and experience you have gained through continued practice, review, and improvement to serve as key personnel in safeguarding public safety, preventing crises, and maintaining public confidence."
