Professor Sorn is pressing ahead with his role as NBTC chairman, presiding over the commission's 25th meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 1 and Friday, October 2, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The move comes as the NBTC's nomination committee has moved to enforce administrative measures against him and filed a petition with the Central Administrative Court seeking his removal. On September 28, Trairat Viriyasirikhul, acting NBTC secretary-general, issued an urgent letter inviting members to the meeting at the Sailom Conference Room 1021, second floor of the NBTC office building. The meeting will proceed under standard NBTC procedures, with Professor Sorn officially listed as chairman. Members may participate online with prior approval from the chairman. The invitation was issued the same day the nomination committee escalated its action against the NBTC leader, seeking a court order to terminate his position.
