The public has responded positively to the 'One House Per Person PLUS' program, with 11,430 registrations totaling over 34.29 billion baht. The government is supporting public access to loans for buying or building homes with special interest rates and up to 40-year repayment terms.

On November 6, 2026, Deputy Government Spokesperson Lalida Periswattana revealed that the 'One House Per Person PLUS' housing loan program continues to draw public interest. The Government Housing Bank (GHB) reported that as of November 1, 2026, 11,430 people have registered to receive loan application codes, representing a total loan value of 34.29 billion baht, or 68% of the project's 50 billion baht framework. This reflects the public's demand for access to funding to own homes.

The government, through the Ministry of Finance, is driving this measure to increase opportunities for people, especially low and middle-income earners, to buy or build homes priced up to 3 million baht under flexible loan conditions and special interest rates suited to repayment ability. The interest rate is set at 2.60-2.80% for the first two years depending on borrower qualifications, with repayment periods of up to 40 years. For a 1 million baht loan, initial monthly installments start at just 3,600 baht.

Lalida stated that the measure not only helps people own homes but also links to economic activities across many sectors, including construction, building materials, employment, and housing-related goods and services.

On November 2, 2026, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Pichai Chunhavajira presided over the handover of approved 'One House Per Person PLUS' loans to GHB customers during a meeting to follow up on government and Ministry of Finance policy implementation in Udon Thani province, reflecting the drive to translate policy into tangible benefits for the public.

"The government aims to support widespread public access to housing loans, reduce financial burdens, and increase opportunities for Thais to own their own homes," she said.

Interested members of the public can register through the GHB Buddy app to receive a code until December 30, 2030, or until the project's loan framework is filled. They can then apply for loans at any GHB branch nationwide. For more details, contact the GHBANK Call Center at 0-2645-9000.

People's Party MP Sahatsawat Khamkhong demands the Prime Minister endorse his party's Social Security Act amendment bill, which has languished on the PM's desk for over six months.
