PM Anutin Deflects Coalition Talk, Citing US Trip
PM Anutin avoided questions about coalition talks with the Kao Tham Party while visiting New York, deflecting with humor and saying he's focused on promoting Thailand to foreign investors and leaders.
Prime Minister Anutin Cha-o-waree has deflected questions about coalition negotiations with the Kao Tham Party during an interview in New York on September 22 (New York time, 11 hours behind Thailand). When asked about Dharmnath Promboon, leader of the Kao Tham Party, who is reportedly preparing to join the government, Anutin replied casually, "Hold on, I'm in America and far away—the signal isn't reaching me. Let me deal with this later." He went on to say that his current focus is working for Thailand. During his three days in New York, he plans to meet with numerous foreign leaders, as well as business groups and investors. Anutin requested time to meet people from around the world and build greater confidence in Thailand, emphasizing Thailand's readiness as a reliable partner and production and distribution hub prepared to welcome investment across all sectors.
