Thailand Calls Up Peluawat Arukdharm for Injured Jonathan Kemmdi
Thailand has called up Port Authority FC defender Peluawat Arukdharm to replace Ratchaburi FC's Jonathan Kemmdi, who suffered severe knee injuries requiring surgery during a training session ahead of the 2026 FIFA Asean Cup.
Thai national team coach Anthony Hudson has called up Peluawat Arukdharm, a defender from Port Authority FC, to replace Jonathan Kemmdi of Ratchaburi FC following a serious training-ground injury. Kemmdi, originally selected as one of 23 players for the 2026 FIFA Asean Cup Premier Division in Indonesia, underwent medical evaluation that revealed tears to his anterior cruciate ligament, partial tears to his medial collateral ligament, and damaged inner meniscus cartilage. These injuries require surgery and an extended rehabilitation period, ruling him out for the remainder of the season. Arukdharm will now join team training and travel with the squad to Indonesia for the upcoming tournament. The Football Association of Thailand pledged to provide full financial support for Kemmdi's medical treatment and recovery. Goalkeeper Kumpol Padamorkul, Kemmdi's Ratchaburi teammate, posted on Instagram to offer encouragement to the injured 24-year-old defender.
