Police Colonel Pramote Simluang Traced for October Appointment

Police Colonel Pramote Simluang represents one officer who has gained diverse experience across field duties, police administration, and the Royal Thai Police headquarters before rising to command rank. He currently serves as commander of the Royal Thai Police Region 3 Training Center, overseeing education, training, and personnel development for the region's force. Before his appointment to command rank, Pramote held the position of captain at Hin Dad Police Station in Nakhon Ratchasima, then was promoted to deputy commander of Chaiyaphum Provincial Police around 2021. While deputy commander, he was also assigned to act for the captain at Phu Khiao Police Station during a crowd assembly incident near the station, a significant operational challenge requiring crisis management and multi-agency coordination. In 2024, he transferred from Chaiyaphum to become secretary to the National Police Commissioner—a shift from regional police work to the national headquarters. In his headquarters role, Pramote supported the commissioner's operations and national police functions. He was then appointed commander of the Royal Thai Police Region 3 Training Center, a post directly responsible for producing and developing officers across the region. In 2025, his duties as training center commander encompass education, training, and capability development for regional officers. Notable work includes welcoming quality assessment teams for the police training unit in the 2025 budget year and running training activities. The center has also pushed preparedness drills for active-shooter scenarios using the "Run, Hide, Fight" protocol, alongside morale-building activities for officers. Pramote holds a bachelor's degree in public administration from the Police Cadet School and a master's degree in liberal arts from the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA). Reports indicate that in the October 1, 2026 transfer round, Pramote is being prepared for appointment as commander of Udon Thani Provincial Police.
