Prachan Buri Health Station Resumes Cleaning After Flood
After a two‑metre flood submerged the Tambon Health Promotion Hospital in Prachan Buri, staff and volunteers have been cleaning mud, debris and checking equipment. The facility hopes to reopen services on October 12, pending final safety checks. Director Boonrung Rittharaksa said the floodwaters have receded and the cleanup involves local residents and nearby health workers.
On October 6, 2026, the Prachan Buri Tambon Health Promotion Hospital mobilized its staff, neighboring medical workers, public health volunteers and villagers to wash away mud, clean floors and collect flood debris inside the building. This included the treatment room, pharmacy, medicine storage area, tables, chairs and a check of all electrical appliances after being submerged by nearly two metres of water on September 25. The director explained that although sandbags were initially deployed, the fast‑rising, high‑volume flood quickly overwhelmed the barriers, forcing the relocation of essential items, medical equipment and electrical appliances to safety from September 25 through October 5. She added that water has now receded, and with the ongoing cleaning and inspection, the hospital hopes to resume operations on October 12, possibly delaying by another week if any systems are not fully ready.
