Rayong Councilor Thanks Deity After 600,000 Baht Lottery Win
Rayong municipal councilor Sorroythip Kaensan and her sister won over 600,000 baht in the Thai lottery after praying to Tao Wessuwan at a Chonburi temple. They returned to Wat Waraphrat Sangkhavas with offerings and 3,000 incense sticks to fulfill a vow, and collected new numbers from the incense ash for the next draw.
A female municipal councilor from Nain Phra Municipality in Rayong Province, accompanied by her older sister, brought offerings of fruit, chicken eggs, red water, garlands, and 3,000 incense sticks to pay thanks to Tao Wessuwan at Wat Waraphrat Sangkhavas in Pan Thong District, Chonburi. This followed their lottery win in the draw on November 1, 2024.
Councilor Sorroythip Kaensan revealed that she had previously visited the temple to make merit and prayed to Tao Wessuwan, vowing to return with offerings if she won a prize of 50,000 baht or more. She then participated in a ping-pong ball divination ritual and received the number 224, which she played in the November 1 draw. She and her sister together won over 300,000 baht, while a friend who used the same number won another 300,000 baht, totaling over 600,000 baht.
Overjoyed, they returned to the temple to fulfill the vow, presenting the offerings and lighting the 3,000 incense sticks. After the ceremony, Sorroythip noted the numbers appearing in the incense ash — 979 and 44 — which she plans to use for the next lottery draw on November 16, hoping for another windfall.
