Relief Organization Delivers Drinking Water to Bangkok Flood Shelters
Sinhauasa is delivering drinking water to flood shelters across Bangkok's 50 disaster-affected districts as heavy rainfall continues through late September, with operations reaching difficult-to-access areas by four-wheel-drive vehicles.
Sinhauasa has coordinated with Bangkok's Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation to deliver drinking water to temporary shelters for flood victims across all 50 districts declared disaster areas. Heavy, continuous rainfall in Bangkok has caused widespread flooding, canal overflows, and disruptions to traffic and homes across the city.
Using four-wheel-drive vehicles to navigate flooded areas and difficult-to-reach locations, the organization is transporting drinking water to shelters including the Hua Chakrit Red Building community early-childhood development center in Bang Sue district and Prachaanukul School in Sai Mai district.
The Meteorological Department predicts heavy to very heavy rain will continue through September 26-27 before gradually decreasing, though authorities caution that residents should remain alert to ongoing flooding and waterlogging in low-lying areas. Sinhauasa will continue monitoring the situation and coordinating with volunteer networks across Bangkok and other affected provinces to accelerate relief efforts and support residents until the crisis resolves.
