Designer and social media influencer Prae Vathanika's Vathanika Group has been sued by the Renwood Holding conglomerate for contract breach, with the company accused of failing to fulfill marketing promotion and yacht event obligations.
Renwood Holding Limited filed the civil lawsuit at the Civil Court on July 9, 2025, seeking 21.8 million baht in damages. The plaintiff described Renwood's diverse business portfolio, which includes Renwood Park residential project, Robinwood Golf Course, Voss bottled water, the Sea Bear luxury yacht, and the KIS International School at Renwood Park.
Vathanika Group, headed by executive director Vathanika Patumsingh Na Ayutthaya, operates as a marketing and event management company. Vathanika herself, a well-known social media influencer, was to leverage her online presence across all platforms to promote events and brand image for Renwood.
Around March 2025, the company proposed organizing a luxury lifestyle experience tourism event. Under the agreement, Renwood would serve as primary sponsor and could showcase its products, services, and trademarks throughout the activity. Vathanika Group agreed to operate the Sea Bear yacht for the event, dubbed the Equilibrium Trip, hosting selected VIP guests from both parties across two luxury yachts with five-star hotel accommodations.
On April 12, 2025, both parties signed the contract with Renwood paying 9 million baht in sponsorship fees. However, the plaintiff alleges that Vathanika Group breached multiple terms: bringing competing products to the event, failing to deliver the promised guest experience, substandard management, failing to prominently display Renwood's branding, and most critically, Vathanika spending only 30 minutes aboard the Sea Bear despite being the main organizer.
After the first event concluded, Renwood terminated the contract, claiming it incurred total damages of 21.8 million baht. The company states it previously attempted to settle the dispute but Vathanika Group failed to respond, forcing the matter to court.
