Teenage Singer Balances School and Music Career with Pride

On September 16 at a Bangkok restaurant, Ton Khao Supriya attended the press conference for the 16th Malihuana Music Campfire Festival, titled "This Land Has Legend." The young artist discussed how she manages both studies and work at just 14 years old.

When asked if she enjoyed seeing live performances from artists she admires, Supriya said she was thrilled to hear them perform in person, though she normally watches on various platforms. She listens to some songs, particularly country music from artists like Ajarn Aed, and expressed gratitude when asked if they encourage her. "I'm happy and very grateful," she said.

Supriya explained that Ajarn Kai helped arrange her appearance at the festival through her school. She revealed her latest work is a collaboration with Tao Paranwat on the song "Rak Raang Rad Ri," which has already garnered millions of views and many TikTok covers. She called the experience thrilling and praised Tao for giving a young artist this opportunity.

Despite a packed schedule of 1-2 events per day alongside school, Supriya says she enjoys the work. "I get to support my family and meet my fans," she explained. She receives support from her family, school principal, teachers, and friends.

Turning 14 this year, she was touched by birthday surprises from fans and expressed gratitude for their love. Regarding the money fans have given her, she noted that while she appreciates their affection deeply, she doesn't focus solely on finances. Her grandmother is saving the funds for her education, as she still has many years of schooling ahead, currently in eighth grade.

When asked about her goals, Supriya said she wants to finish her studies with dedication and share her voice with her fans. She emphasized that she views fan support as an expression of love rather than just money, and she's committed to becoming more responsible as she grows older.
