Two Siblings Found Dead in Bangkok Home After Days
Two siblings were found dead in their Bangkok home after being unreachable for days; relatives believe the bedridden elder died first, followed by the younger sibling who cared for him.
On September 16, Buppharam Police received a report of deaths in a two-story wooden house on Arun Amrin Road 7, Wat Kanlaya Subdistrict, Thonburi District, Bangkok. Officers attended with a forensic pathologist from Siriraj Hospital and volunteers from a charitable organization. They discovered two bodies: one in the front hallway and one in the bathroom, both unclothed and believed to have been dead for at least two days.
Interviews with relatives revealed the two were siblings—the elder was bedridden and ill, while the younger cared for him. On September 14, relatives could not reach them by phone and asked neighbors to check on them. The younger sibling answered the neighbor but thereafter became unreachable.
Visitors to the home normally did not enter—they would stand outside and call out, as both siblings refused entry, saying the house was messy and they felt embarrassed. Even gifts left at the door were not collected immediately. The two lived alone, surviving on milk and prepared foods rather than rice. Relatives believe the elder, being bedridden, likely died first, and the younger, deeply devoted, may have followed in despair. The family does not suspect foul play. They plan to collect the bodies from Siriraj Hospital's morgue tomorrow and proceed with religious ceremonies.
