Rescue volunteers safely captured the venomous snake after about ten minutes, using a snare and pliers to avoid injury. The car’s owner, Ngamwan, said he was shocked but grateful that the snake did not enter the cabin, and locals gathered to note the license plate Bor 893 Sa Kaeo for lucky numbers.
On October 7, 2069, rescuers were called to the Bo Thong market parking lot after a passerby noticed a cobra protruding from a vehicle. They located a white Toyota pickup, plate Bor 893 Sa Kaeo, owned by 51‑year‑old Ngamwan, with a 1.2‑metre cobra hidden in the front part of the engine bay. Because cobras can spit venom that may cause severe eye damage or blindness, the rescuers used special caution, employing a snare loop together with metal pliers to grasp the snake. After about ten minutes they extracted the cobra safely. Ngamwan said he had driven from Khok Ping market in Kaset Suwan district, about 20 kilometres away, to buy groceries in Bo Thong town. After parking, a nearby driver alerted him to the snake hanging from the engine compartment. He initially did not worry, but once told it was a spitting cobra he became very frightened, relieved the snake had not entered the passenger cabin. He thanked the rescue volunteers for their quick and safe work. The event left the owner and nearby residents shaken, while some onlookers focused on the license plate Bor 893 Sa Kaeo, hoping it would bring lucky numbers.
