Sedan Crashes Into Pig Truck, Flips Into Road Ditch

A sedan collided with a 10-wheel pig truck carrying over 100 pigs on Saraburi's bypass road on the evening of September 23, causing the truck to flip sideways into the road median with severe damage. Police from Muang Saraburi District responded at 11 p.m. after receiving a report of the collision on the westbound bypass near a hotel entrance. At the scene, officers found a Subaru sedan with a Bangkok license plate heavily damaged at the front, positioned approximately 50 meters away on the roadside, and an Isuzu 10-wheel truck with a Saraburi license plate overturned in the road median.

The impact caused severe damage to the truck's engine compartment and front axle. The cargo section carrying over 100 pigs produced loud distressed sounds as the animals were piled on top of each other in the confined space of the truck bed. The truck driver sustained no injuries and reported that he was transporting pigs from Lopburi Province to Nakhon Pathom Province when a sedan emerged from a side road without braking and struck the truck's side with significant force, causing it to lose control and flip into the median.

The sedan driver, a man approximately 50 years old, sustained minor injuries and initially did not provide information to reporters. Police brought him in for further questioning at Muang Saraburi Police Station, where they conducted an alcohol breath test and investigated the accident's cause and circumstances. Following the incident, officers coordinated with the vehicle owner and insurance company to arrange vehicle recovery and urgent transport of the pigs to their destination. It remained unclear at the time whether any of the pigs died in the accident.
