Siam Piwat Announces Icon Phuket Landmark to Boost South Economy

Siam Piwat has launched a 10‑billion‑baht Icon Phuket project that will combine retail, attractions and entertainment in a new southern landmark. The development, part of the larger Synthesis Ark Phuket smart‑city plan, aims to draw 80,000–100,000 visitors daily and create up to 80,000 jobs while boosting the regional economy. Construction is scheduled to begin soon, with the complex set to open in 2029.

Siam Piwat highlighted its track record of transforming urban spaces, citing the creation of the Siam district as Bangkok’s creative and lifestyle hub and the Iconsiam megaproject along the Chao Phraya River as a symbol of Thai pride. Icon Phuket marks the company’s first venture outside Bangkok, targeting a province with strong economic potential and global appeal. The project will be part of the larger Synthesis Ark Phuket initiative, a mixed-use mega‑development worth over 50 billion baht on more than 500 rai in Sri Suton subdistrict, Thalang district. Situated near Phuket International Airport and a world‑class yacht pier, Synthesis Ark Phuket is planned as the island’s first smart city, offering luxury residences, office towers, hotels, serviced apartments, international schools, and health and beauty facilities to create a self‑contained live‑work‑play ecosystem. The first phase of Synthesis Ark Phuket is set to be completed by 2032 (2575 BE). For Icon Phuket, the company will focus on delivering a high‑quality, integrated experience that blends retail, attractions, and entertainment.
