Teenagers Steal Hand-Powered Tricycle from Disabled Resident in Sriracha
Three teenagers were caught on CCTV stealing a hand‑powered tricycle used by a disabled scrap‑metal collector in Sriracha, Chonburi. Even vehicles for the disabled are not safe: a gang of teenagers stole a handicapped tricycle, captured on CCTV showing three youths in the act late at night in Sriracha. At 2:00 p.m. on October 14, 2026, a reporter received a complaint from 58‑year‑old Prayongsak, who said three teenagers took his disability tricycle from Soi 2, Kheklein, Village 3, Surasak sub‑district, Sriracha district, Chonburi province. The reporter inspected the scene; CCTV footage revealed at least three male teenagers pushing and dragging the rain‑covered tricycle down the alley boldly, without fear of the law. The vehicle is a hand‑powered tricycle adapted for disabled or elderly people, with a plastic‑canvas roof for sun and rain protection, an essential means of transport for the disabled to work and live daily. Prayongsak said he felt devastated, as the tricycle is his livelihood for collecting scrap metal; being disabled, he cannot walk normally and relies on the tricycle for his work. He normally parks it beside a wall, but suddenly the youths appeared and stole it, urging them to return it. Initially, the victim and local residents handed over the CCTV evidence to Sriracha Police Station to pursue legal action against the teenagers and pleaded for the tricycle’s return, emphasizing it is his sole means of earning a living. Anyone who sees the suspect or a matching tricycle is urged to contact Sriracha Police Station at any time, 24 hours a day.
